My father passed away suddenly when I was in my early twenties. He was only 47 and it was very unexpected. The following days were a whirlwind of grief, shock and reflecting on the best way to celebrate his life so family and friends had an opportunity to say their goodbyes.

There were a number of ideas thrown about but really only based on traditional funeral services available at the time.

I now have three young children and I reflect every day on how short life really is, and why it is so important to make every moment count.

Having worked in the Corporate world for many years, I decided it was time for a change, a shift into something new and into an environment where I could help others. I reflected on my experience during the time of my father’s death and this is where the idea of this site was born.

I hope this website offers you the information and services you need to provide you with all the tools to help celebrate your or a loved one’s life the way they would want.

Everyone at some time in their life will be faced with the loss of a loved one or indeed their own mortality. The way you choose to celebrate this life is a very personal thing.

When developing this site I took the time to speak to hundreds of people about their experiences with grief and life celebration planning. Many people talked about the various stages of grief that they went through and the stress they felt at the time. They also reflected on the information that would have been useful at the time when they were making key decisions on how to celebrate a person’s life.

This website has been developed to create a comprehensive online resource for life celebration and remembrance services and for customers to share their experience of these services to help others.

If you’ve already utilised any of the services or products listed please take a moment to get in touch and provide feedback, so that others may benefit from it.

We are always looking at ways to improve our site and services to ensure it is meeting our customer and vendor needs. Please feel free to get in touch with any feedback you may have on the site so we can continue to improve.

"We have found Celebrate Me to be very supportive towards us, allowing our common goal of informing the public of the right choices that can be made for this difficult journey we all must face at some point in our lives. A fantastic initiative that is obviously working, and we applaud the team.  Very grateful to have been chosen to be a part of this."  -Daryl A, Headstone Warehouse Ltd

"I have had a good look at the website and just wanted to say thanks for sharing your very intimate and personal drivers that have provided inspiration for Celebrate Me. Such a great idea, because who really knows where to start or what options there are. When you are overcome with grief I know you tend to make rash decisions or even accept the only options that are presented to you" - Nic M

"What a great site with such a huge amount of information! Well Done!" - Kathryn V

"This site is fantastic. I remember looking at different options when my Mum passed away, and there wasn't really any website that linked all the possible needs together as comprehensively as this one. What an amazing job!" - Kathy F

“I love the way this site opens up an enormous number of ways that a heartfelt farewell can be planned.  The emotional rawness of unexpectedly losing someone close is hard enough to deal with without having to worry about what funeral service options are available.  This site makes it all so easy!  Best of all goodbyes can now be more meaningful and personalised. – Viv M
